Mr. Marshall Mahaffey

Marshall Mahaffey, 69, of Brandon, MS, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. Services will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS on Sunday, June 4th. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 pm with the service following at 4:00 pm. Marshall was born on December 3, 1947 and grew up in Harrisville, MS. He graduated from Harrisville High School and attended both Co-Lin and Hinds Community College. He spent most of his career in sales and as a physical therapy technician. He was a member of First Baptist Church Fannin in Flowood, MS. Marshall lived at Brandon Court Nursing Home where he enjoyed teaching Bible study and speaking to other residents and staff about Jesus Christ. He was preceeded in death by his parents Waynie Mahaffey and Mary Kelly, sister Bettie Bailey and wife Brenda Mahaffey. He was survived by his children, Trisha Miller, Christe McKenzie (Mark), Heather Nelson (Kevin) and Matthew Mahaffey (Anna). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Macon and Brenda Miller, Christian and Cailin McKenzie, Ian, Max and Luke Nelson and siblings David Mahaffey (Marilyn), Waynie Mahaffey, and Sally Papisan (Larry). Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation of MS in lieu of flowers. of flowers.
