Marie Jinks Farmer, born March 6, 1927 from Farmerville, Louisiana, Shreveport, Louisiana and Jackson, Mississippi died Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Magee General Hospital, Magee, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents Artie and Lonnie Jinks; her husband, Donald Hugh Farmer; three older sister, Eva Johnston, Selma Cofield and Doris Keene; one younger brother, Paul Jinks; one daughter-in-law, Susan Farmer and two granddaughters, Kimberly Michelle Farmer and Miranda Farmer Walters. She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Farmer (Rita) and Gary Farmer (Linda); one daughter, Janice Brown (John); one younger sister, Beatrice Gray and two younger brothers, Vaughn Jinks and Lamar Jinks. Without question and with no hesitation, she loved each and every one of her four sisters, three brothers, three children, thirteen grandchildren (Kim, Meg, Dana, Scott, Darren, Craig, Chris, Jimmy, Jonathan, Sonya, Matt, Mark and Mandy), sixteen great- grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and twenty one nephews and nieces. She was Marie. She was Mama. She was Mother. She was Nana and she was Aunt ‘Ree. Marie was a member of Country Woods Baptist Church and the Country Maidens Class. She was loved by many and will always be missed but certainly never forgotten. Visitation will be 5-7pm Wednesday, June 28, 2017 and 9am until the 10am funeral service Thursday, June 29, 2017, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, Inc. in Shreveport, LA.
