Mrs. Maria Garrard

Anna Maria Summerlin Garrard, 60, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2019 at her home in Flora. The family will hold a private burial in the Garden of Memories in Florence, MS. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Pearl Kingdom Hall on Greenfield Rd. in Pearl, MS. Mrs. Garrard was born in Greenville, MS and lived in Flora for the past 22 years, having come from Jackson. She was a gifted artist who painted murals all over Jackson and Madison. Mrs. Garrard loved horses, all kinds of animals, even rescuing several animals, caring for them deeply. She had a sweet nature, and loved people. She is preceded in death by her father, J.C. Summerlin and husband of 31 years, Wes Garrard. Survivors include her mother, Gilda Summerlin; brothers, Bill (Dianne) Summerlin of Raymond, Joe (Lynn) Summerlin of Jackson, Mario (Vicki) Summerlin of Covington, LA and sister, Kathy (Richard) Manning of Pearl.
