Mr. Lowery H. Lambert

Lowery H. Lambert, 86, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram with the funeral service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery. Mr. Lambert moved to Jackson from Monticello, MS where he was a 1951 graduate of Monticello High School. He was a member of Wynndale Baptist Church and former member of Oak Forest Baptist Church. Mr. Lambert served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. He was employed as Service Manager at Tom Wimberly Lincoln Mercury and later retired from Empire Trucks. Mr. Lambert loved the outdoors, enjoying yard work and gardening. He was generous to share his vegetables with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Samuel Lambert and Maggie Calhoun Lambert and two sisters, Charlene King and Jeannie Sutton. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years Mary Emily Russell Lambert of Byram; daughters, Lisa Lambert Heard (Steven) of Flower Mound, TX and Dina Lambert Russell of Flowood; grandchildren, David Lowery Russell (Katie), Austin Heard (Deanne) and Brandon Heard (Chelsea) and great grandson, John Lowery Russell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wynndale Winners Senior Program at Wynndale Baptist Church, 11287 Springridge Rd., Terry, MS 39170.
