LeeRoy Paul Harrison, 81, passed away on May 6, 2022, in Jackson, MS. The family will receive friends Tuesday May 10, 2022, from 5-8 pm and again Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 1-2pm. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm at Chancellor Funeral home Chapel. Interment will follow in Star Cemetery. LeeRoy was born September 29, 1940, in Texas to Virgil and Mattia Farrell Harrison, one of 12 siblings. He made his home in Florence since 1979 and was a member of Star Baptist Church. He proudly served 9 years in the MS Army National Guard. He had many occupations as a painter, welder and transporter of Mobile Homes. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley M. Harrison; siblings, Dale Carmical (Hoagy), Twila Faith (Chuck), Leota Miller (Roy), Betty Hudgens (Billy), Bonnie Dean (Bill), Glenda Moore, Dean Harrison (Pat) Donald Harrison (Velma), Clinton Harrison (Lola Belle) and James Harrison. Those left to cherish his memory include son, Paul Weeks of Panama City, FL; daughters, Tammy Byrd (Larry) of Florence, Carol Ann Eason of Panama City, FL; brother, Cleveland Harrison (Violet) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; brother-in-law, Terry Moore; sister-in-law, Pee Wee Harrison; 2 granddaughters, Shelby Byrd, Isabell Weeks; 3 grandsons, Payton, Landry and Jesse Byrd and several nieces and nephews
