Mr. John "Bo" King

Mr. John “Bo” Simmons King, 62, passed away at MS Baptist Medical Center on Saturday, November 3, 2018. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Mr. King was the owner of King Plumbing Company for 30 years. He loved fishing and hunting, especially dove hunting. He enjoyed golf, NASCAR racing, and was a civil war historian. He was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church and attended Crossgates Baptist Church. Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Annette King; and a younger sister, Elizabeth King. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Willoughby King of Flowood; Sons, John “Bo” Simmons King II, and, Kyle Austin King of Flowood; a brother, Jimmy (Rebecca) King of Madison; sisters, Johnette “Tutti” (Allen) Herrington of Madison, Laurie “Lala” (Paul) Sheffield of Jackson, and Janie (Mike) Manderson of Chattanooga, TN; and, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Gus.
