Mr. John Michael Gurley

John Michael Gurley, 47, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. There will be a visitation on Friday, January 3, 2020, from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Antioch Baptist Church in Harrisville, MS. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. John, a resident of the Old Pearl Community for most of his life, worked as a technician for Modern Air for several years. He was a graduate of Rankin Academy and enjoyed playing the guitar. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lenora C. Gurley and his brother Jimmy Gurley. Those left behind to cherish his memory include: his son, Jakob Gurley of Pearl; his father, James Gurley, Sr.; his sisters, Cathy (Randy) Lindsey of Florence, and Charlotte Jones of the Old Pearl Community in Harrisville; and, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
