Mr. Jerry "Hal" Weir

June 27, 1950 - February 14, 2022

Jerry “Hal” Harold Weir, 71, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 in Ridgeland, MS. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland, MS. A long-time resident of Terry, MS, Jerry was born in Jackson, MS on June 27, 1950. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and was employed with HTC Global Services, Inc. for 24 years as a computer consultant after retiring from the State of Mississippi as a Database Administrator. Jerry enjoyed wood carving, camping, and gardening. He was a member of Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church. Most of all, Jerry loved his family and everything he did revolved around them. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Rufus Weir and Bertie Harrell Weir; sisters, Margie Cortez Snow and Dorothy Hillman; and brother, Charles Ray Weir. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Guerry Weir of Terry; son, Casey Weir of Brandon; daughter, Shelley Weir Carr (Brad) of Hazlehurst; and five grandchildren: Halle, Wren, and Jax Carr, and Baker and Reece Weir. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church in Byram, MS.
