Mrs. Janath Dell Gentry

Janath Dell Arrington Gentry passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was 59 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. There will be a Graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA. Janath was born June 20, 1962 to the late Harry and Mildred Arrington in Monroe, LA. She loved her family and especially loved being a grandmother to her two grandchildren. She worked as a substitute teacher and she loved being able to be around children. She also enjoyed her job at Sutherlands. Along with her parents, Janath is also preceded in death by her husband, Horace Gentry III. She is survived by her son, Horace Gentry IV and his girlfriend, Karleigh, and his children, Horace Gentry V and Maddox Gentry of Florence; her brothers, Buddy (Connie) Arrington of Florence, Lane Arrington of Flowood, and John Arrington of Mendenhall; sister, Sherry Arrington of Louisiana; 1 niece, 4 nephews, 4 great nieces, 3 great nephews, and 2 great great nieces.
