Mr. James Edwin Gray

James Gray, 78, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at his residence in Richland surrounded by his family. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 1PM until the hour of service at 2PM, burial will follow at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland, MS. All services will be at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. Mr. James Gray was born in Philadelphia, MS on October 21, 1942, to the late Milton Gray and Earline Gray. Mr. Gray loved driving his tour bus and listening to country music in particular; Waylon Jennings, Alan Jackson, and Elvis Presley. He also enjoyed listening to Cajun music while driving. He loved horses and really enjoyed working on his lawn mower and truck. He enjoyed going fishing. He loved his family above everything else. Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sarah Wells, and brother Joe Gray. Survivors include his wife of 54 years Sue Gray of Richland, sons Garry (Susan Gleason) Gray of Richland, Greg Gray of Richland, daughters Tara Gray of Richland, Rachel (Donnie) Bridges of Richland, sister Wydell (Durward) Cumberland of Jackson, Carolyn Vandevender of North Carolina, Elaine (Don) Nelson of Philadelphia, MS. Grandchildren Jacob Bridges, Nic Gray, Emily Bridges, and Gavin Bridges.
