Mrs. Irene Ercelle Ballard

Irene Ercelle Williams Ballard, 80, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 9:30am until the 11am funeral service, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Mrs. Ballard was born in Nashville, NC to the late Madison G. Williams and Mary Almeta Lucas Williams. She was a 1957 graduate of Kosciusko High School and then moved to Jackson. She had worked at Jackson Packing, McCarty Foods, Tyson Foods and retired as secretary from IKON. For years, Mrs. Ballard and her daughter Dabney loved going on the Child Evangelism Fellowship Missions in Warrenton, Missouri. She was a faithful member of Alta Woods Baptist Church where she was on the Senior Adult Leadership Team (SALT) for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Frank Ballard. Survivors include her daughter, Dabney Jo Ballard of Jackson and a number of aunts and cousins.
