Mr. Harold Lamar Holder, 81 passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, August 11th at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. There will be a Graveside Service at 2:00 p.m. at Lakewood Memorial Park on Clinton Blvd. Due to the current guidelines regarding gatherings, there will only be 10 people allowed in the chapel at a time during visitation and 20 people at the graveside and mask or facial coverings must be brought and worn. Harold was born August 15, 1938 in Union, MS to the late Milton and Lela Mae Holder. He loved his family dearly, especially his 3 granddaughters. He retired from UPS as a mechanic after 28 years. He was an excellent musician and loved to play the bass guitar. He enjoyed cooking and he even used to be a lifeguard. Along with his parents, Harold is also preceded in death by his son, Ricky L. Holder; his brother, Milton Holder; and his sisters, Clara Mae Bond and Mildred Tucker. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sylvia Holder of Star; brother, Sheffield (Mary Alice) Holder of Laurel; and 3 granddaughters, Whitney Holder, Paige Holder, and Emily Holder.
