Mr. Gregg Byrd

Gregory Stephen Byrd, 58, passed away Wednesday, December 4th at his home in Florence. The family will have a private Memorial Service at a later date. Gregg was born January 12, 1961 to Shelby Calvin and Sarah Jeanett Byrd. He lived in Florence most of his life. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help those in need. Gregg was great at working on cars and doing yard work and he really enjoyed driving a front-end loader and doing dirt work. Gregg is survived by his mother, Sarah “Jean” Byrd of Florence; daughter, Sarah Grace Byrd of Gulfport; sisters, Debbie (Billy) Horn of Pearl and Cassondra Grantham of Florence; brothers, Ricky (Sherri) Byrd of Star and Tony (Tami) Byrd of Star; and several nieces and nephews.
