Rev. Glenn Nations

June 24, 1930 — March 7, 2017

Burley Glenn Nations, 86 years old, passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at G.V. Sonny Montgomery Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, March 9, 2017 and 1:00pm until the 2:00pm funeral service Friday, March 10th, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Hazlehurst Cemetery. Rev. Nations was born on June 24, 1930 to the late James Monroe Nations and Vida Belle Nations near Hazlehurst, MS. He joined the U.S. Marine Corp at an early age. He proudly served his country in the Korean War and was one of the fortunate few to survive the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir Campaign. Rev. Nations was ordained at Broadrun Baptist Church in Virginia and pastored several churches in VA and MS. He is survived by his wife Mary; sons, Michael, Gregory and Jeffrey; 12 grand children; 17 great grandchildren and sister Dorothy Boutwell of Jackson. Memorials may be made to Country Woods Baptist Church in Byram, MS.
