Mr. Gerald L. Phillips

Gerald L. Phillips passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at his home in Florence at the age of 86. There will be a private family service will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Gerald was born in Crystal Springs, MS on September 8, 1935 to the late Osby and Dovie Phillips. He was raised in Jackson, where he graduated from Central High School. He was also a proud graduate of Mississippi State University, Go Dawgs! Along with his parents, Gerald is also preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Nettles. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cecile Boteler Phillips; sister, Reba (Bob) Plante of Jacksonville, AR; brothers, George (Marie) Phillips of Florence, MS; stepchildren, Lin (Terri) Williams of Foley, AL and Ken Williams of Florence, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse or the charity of your choice.
