Mr. Gary Cook Martin

Gary Cook Martin, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Houston, TX. Visitation will be 10-11am Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Graveside services will follow at 11:30am Saturday at Terry Cemetery. Mr. Martin was born in Crystal Springs, MS to the late Oliver and Rhoda Cook Martin. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and former resident of Terry, MS, having lived in Texas since 1983. Mr. Martin was co/owner-operator of Sudie’s Catfish House in Crystal Springs, MS and Pasadena, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles & Pete Martin and loving wife Henrietta Martin. Survivors include his son, Mike Martin and fiancé Rhonda Bedsole of La Porte, TX; daughter Jennie Templeton (Jerald) of Terry; grandchildren, Thomas (T.J.) Walker, Cody Martin and Chris Martin.
