Mrs. Dollie Ruth Belk

Dollie Ruth Belk, 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at her home in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Friday, May 21, 2021 from 4:00 p.m.—6:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS and again Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lakewood South Memorial Park in Jackson, MS. A resident of Jackson for 69 years, Mrs. Belk was born on January 24, 1933 in Weir, MS to Bill and Estelle Stewart. She retired from the Post Office where she was employed as a mail carrier. In her spare time, she loved working in her yard with her flowers. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Byram where she taught Sunday School. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Morrison and three brothers, Gary, Max, and Billy Stewart. She is survived by her husband, Gary Belk; son, Randy (Debra) Belk of Brandon; grandchildren, Dustin (Maggie) Cutrer of Jackson, Summer (Joe) Clark of Mobile, AL, Christopher Bailey, and James (Lindsey) Morrison of Florence; and great-granddaughter, Isabella Cutrer.
