Mr. Connelly Cadet Stong

Connelly Cadet Stong, 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Byram on Monday, March 15, 2021, surrounded by his family. Visitation will be Friday, March 19, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS. A resident of Byram since 1988, Mr. Stong was born on November 11, 1940 in Oklahoma. He was a retired salesman. As an avid hunter and angler, he loved the great outdoors and was a member of the Pearl River Bass Club. Most of all, he was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Stong; daughter, Connie Stong; and son, Kirk Stong. He is survived by daughters, Sheila (Tim) Dodge of Florence, Jamie (Marty) Clark of Brandon, Tracy (David) Bridges of Madison, and Amy (Ed) Hutchison of Madison; son, Rick (Robin) Graham of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
