Mrs. Anne Clark McKee

d. February 17, 2021

Anne Clark McKee left this earth bound for her eternal home in heaven on February 17, 2021 at the age of 91. A family graveside service will occur at Rose Hill cemetery in Brookhaven, MS on Sunday, February 21. Broadmoor Baptist Church will be the site of a Celebration of Life service on Monday, February 22 at 11am. Due to health concerns, masks are required and there will not be an inside visitation, however, the family will greet friends in a drive by visitation after the service. Anne grew up in Brookhaven, MS nurtured by her loving parents, Teunison and Annie Rawls Clark who preceded her in death. She married her grade school friend who became her sweetheart, Robert McKee, in 1951 and after he completed seminary in Fort Worth, TX they moved to North Little Rock, AR. There, she taught elementary school, started a family, and supported her husband as the Minister of Christian Education at Park Hill Baptist Church where they formed many great friendships and grew in their love for the Lord. In the summer of 1968 Robert (Brother Bob), Anne and their two daughters moved to Jackson, MS where they accepted a call to serve at Broadmoor Baptist Church. Anne was very involved at Broadmoor over their many years there serving as a Sunday School teacher for women and assisting in various other ministries. Anne was an avid reader and loved getting books from the church library. Outside of the church, Hope Hollow Ministries, an organization for special needs individuals and their families, was very dear to her heart. She served as an active member of the Ladies’ Auxillary. Anne held several part-time jobs while rearing her daughters. She was a school crossing guard and worked as an assistant at Morris Oil Co. for 19 years. A woman of grace and generous spirit, Anne was dearly loved by her family, church community, friends and coworkers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Bob McKee, as well as her sister, Mary Jo Clark Grim and her brother, Teunison Cary Clark, Jr. Anne is survived by two daughters, Robin Ballou (Bill) of Cordova, TN and Katy Shearer (Charles) of Madison, MS and her three grandchildren, Charlie Shearer (Victoria) of Madison, MS; Clark Shearer (Melissa) of Mount Pleasant, SC and Marianne Ballou of Las Vegas, NV. She was also very proud of her three great-granddaughters. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either one of two funds at Broadmoor Baptist Church - Library fund or Preschool fund or to Hope Hollow Ministries.
