Ms. Andrea Jean Burcky

Ms. Andrea Jean Burcky, 80, passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. The family will hold a Memorial Service on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. First Baptist Church in Richland. Ms. Burcky was born January 13, 1939 to the late Andrew and Amelia Hudak in New York, NY. She moved from Dallas, TX to Richland, MS over 25 years ago where she was a member of First Baptist Church of Richland. Ms. Burcky worked as a Fashion Designer Sketch Artist for Vogue Patterns. She would sketch clothing patterns straight from runway shows. Later in life, she loved being a homemaker. She enjoyed baking for her family, and she was fascinated with plants and flowers, what she called “nature’s designs”. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and loved most all animals. Ms. Burcky is survived by her children, Cynthia (Pat) Sullivan of Richland, MS and Scott (Jeaninne) Burcky of North Carolina; her sister, Judy (Paul) Sengstock of Sonoma, CA; and her grandchildren, Skye Sullivan, Ava Raye Sullivan, Samantha Burcky, and Madeline Burcky.
