Mr. Thomas Avis Tucker

Thomas Avis Tucker, 68, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood. A Graveside Service will be Thursday, December 22nd at 3 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson. A visitation will be from 1:45-2:45 PM at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Mr. Tucker was a retired truck driver with Irby Construction and was a member of the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle. He was an avid sports fan that was loyal to his church and loved his family. Avis is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Virgie Tucker and his brothers, J.E. Tucker and Doyle Tucker. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Tucker of Richland; son, Cory (Katie) Henson of Pearl; daughter, Tonya (Kelly) Compton of Holcomb; brother, Wayne Tucker of Meridian; sisters, Kathy (James) Lashley of Meridian; Cyrethia (John) Fontan of Anderson, SC and Brenda (Larry) Hayes of Orman, FL; and grandchildren, Cassie Compton, Aubrey Henson and Cullen Henson.
