Mr. Terry Lee Statham

December 29, 1952 — December 31, 2017

Terry went to be his Lord and Savior on December 31st after losing his battle with cancer. He and his family were blessed to have had a beautiful and memorable Christmas with him, to have celebrated his 65th birthday on December 29th with family and friends, and were with him on New Year’s Eve. He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Judy Loflin Statham, two children – Leslie Statham Easterling (John Easterling), Josh Statham, and four grandchildren – Peyton, Ainsley, Sawyer, and Raeleigh. He also leaves behind his sister, Carol Statham Grigsby (Bob Grigsby). He is the son of the late Harry A. Statham, Jr. and the late Sadie Statham. He is the son-in-law of the late John T. Loflin and the late Bobbie Loflin. He is also survived by a large, loving extended family and many dear friends. Terry began his career at the age of 19. He worked for Packard Electric in Clinton as a tool and diemaker, an engineer, and later in the area of management. He attended Mississippi State University and received his B.S. Degree from Belhaven University. Terry had a passion for woodworking and was a master craftsman. After retiring from Delphi Packard in 2006, he pursued that passion by starting his own company, Mountain Creek Customs. Terry and Judy have a love story that few will ever know. While they were married for 44 years, their love for one another began at the age of six. They began dating at the age of 15 and were married in l973. Terry was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will forever be missed. His family would like to thank the numerous physicians, nurses, therapists, lab technicians, and valets who helped Terry. Due to their skills and caring hearts, the quality of Terry’s life was enhanced. Services will be graveside at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 3rd, at the Mountain Creek Cemetery on Highway 469 South, Florence MS. Attending pallbearers are Josh Statham, John Easterling, Dwight Turner, Michael Williams, Steve Whitlow, Larry Edwards, Wesley Edwards, Mike Loflin, and Gene Loflin.
