Mr. Robert "Bob" Neely Pitts Sr.

Robert “Bob” Neely Pitts, Sr., 89, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, November 10, 2017 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be 2pm Saturday, November 11 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Sandhill, MS with a one hour visitation prior to service time at the church. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Sandhill, MS. Mr. Pitts was born in Waynesboro, MS to the late Charles & Daisy Lowrey Pitts and lived in Brandon since 1997, having come from south Jackson. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy-Sea Bee’s in WWII and the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Pitts was a 32 degree Master Mason and Past Master of Leavell Woods Lodge #620, a Wahabi Temple Shriner in the Motor Corp, member of Retreads Motorcycle Club and Christian Motorcycle Association. Mr. Pitts was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and a retired Engineer with AT&T. He is preceded in death by his wife Delores B. Pitts. Survivors include his sons Bobby (Violet) Pitts of Harlingen, TX, Roger (GiGi) Pitts of Sandhill; daughters, Cindy (Bill) Hemphill of Brandon and April (Tony) Crenshaw of Byram: 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
