Mr. Raymond "Ray" Louis Watts

Raymond L. Watts, 85, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Carthage, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, July 17th from 5-7 PM and Friday, July 18th from 9 AM until the 10 AM funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Watts owned and operated a barber shop in Jackson for over 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles and piloting. He served in the Army, the Merchant Marines, and the Air Force. He was a glider pilot in WWII. Mr. Watts was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Novelle Watts; and his sister, Betty Ruth Watts Morton of Tulsa, OK. He is survived by his sister, Mary Catherine Graham of Terrell, TX.
