Mrs. Ouida Fugitt Gentry

Ouida Fugitt Gentry, 87, passed away Monday April 20, 2015 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 21st from 5-8 PM and Wednesday, April 22nd from 10 AM until the 11 AM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Florence City Cemetery. Mrs. Gentry was born on June 1, 1927. She has lived in Florence since 1957, moving from Fulton, MS. She was a member of Florence Church of Christ and owner and operator of Gentry’s Dairy Bar after retiring from South Central Bell. Mrs. Gentry is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Gentry and her brother, Wayne Fugitt. She is survived by her children, Larry Gentry of Braxton, Joe (Rhonda) Gentry of Braxton, David (Amy) Gentry of Flowood, and Suzanne (Tim) Morris of Berlin, OH; sister, Dean Gaddy of Fulton, MS; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
