Mrs. Mary Gail Mallory Patt

Mary Gail Mallory Patt, 86, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 at her home in Byram. Visitation will be 5-8pm Sunday, June 25, 2017 and 9am until the 10am funeral service Monday, June 26, 2017, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at 2pm Monday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Laurel, MS. Mrs. Patt, a longtime resident of Byram, was born in Laurel, MS (Jones County) to the late Kye Taylor and Mary Lee Chancellor Taylor. She was raised and attended school in Jones County. Mrs. Patt loved to play the piano and was a former pianist at Southgate Baptist Church. She enjoyed working and worked right up until she became ill. She enjoyed her grandchildren and was a member of Central Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings and daughter-in-law Samantha Mallory. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Robert “Jimmy” Patt of Byram; son, Tommy Mallory of Jackson; daughter, Jennifer Mallory McDonald of Brandon; grandchildren, Brennan McDonald, Matthew Dylan McDonald and Jade Mallory.
