Martha J. Broome, 76 passed to her heavenly father on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Visitation will be Thursday, March 23rd from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. She was born June 2, 1940 in Oklahoma City, OK and was a life-long resident of Pearl, MS living Carson, MS the last several years of her life. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Pearl, MS. “Marti” loved the Lord and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Broome is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Donna Hyde and by her parents, Jack and Mildred Beaver. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Broome; sons, Roger (Sheryl) Phillips and Greg (Anne) Phillips; grandchildren, Randi Thornton, Misti (Connous) Schaefer, Jeremy (Emily) Phillips, Chris Phillips; great grandchildren, Blake Phillips, Noah Schaefer, Alexis Sessions, Ethan Phillips, Logan Schaefer, Maggie Schaefer, and Jacob Phillips; sister, Dorothy (John) Ray; niece, Rhonda (Brian) Bowan; nephews, Tony (Carrie) Ray and Darin (Heathyr) Ray; and other extended family.
