Mr. Mark Wayne Hoover

Mark “Wayne” Hoover, Sr. 69 of Florence, MS passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 at Meritt Health Rankin in Brandon. Visitation is from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Line Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Morton. Wayne and his family moved to Florence 6 years ago from Yazoo County where he was a member of Concord Baptist Church. He was a self-employed painter for many years. Wayne loved to fish and camp, but especially enjoyed spending time with and cooking out for his family. His most prized possessions were his many grandchildren and his great grandchildren. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Fay Baird Hoover, his sons: Mark Wayne Hoover Jr. “Bubba” of Florence, Joel Lee Hoover “Joey” and wife Rose of Florence, Thomas “Aron” Hoover of Richland, two daughters: Melissa Fay Huff “Missy” and husband James of Pelahatchie and Joyce Passons and her husband Ronnie of Florence, two brothers Hubert Hoover of Eden and Lamar Hoover of Pelahatchie, one sister Ruby Hoover of Florence, sixteen grandchildren, Jessica, April, Chrissy, Jamie, Candy, Tristan, Haley, Christopher, Joel, Ethan, Wyatt, Walt, Brook, Ronnie “Little Man”, Laura and Dylan, and five precious great grandchildren.
