Mrs. Margaret Elaine King

Margaret Elaine King went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. There will be a visitation from 5 PM to 8 PM on Friday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will be at 2 PM on Saturday at Briar Hill Baptist Church in Florence and will be preceded by a one hour visitation also at the church. Mrs. King was born August 4, 1961 in New Mexico. She was a member of Briar Hill Baptist Church in Florence and a former member of First Baptist Church of Fannin. She travelled the world praying and witnessing for Christ. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, sister in-law, daughter-in-law and Grammy. Mrs. King is preceded in death by her father, James Sherman Minnis, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Carl H. King, Jr.; a son, Nathan King of Florence: daughters, Laurie (Justin) Burns of Olive Branch, MS, Lindsey King of Florence; her mother, Edith Minnis of Pearl; a brother, David (Kathey) Minnis of Tupelo, a nephew, Josh; and 2 grandchildren, Cooper and Taylor Burns. The family would like to express a special thank you to Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland and St. Dominic’s Hospital and St. Dominic’s Cancer Center. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Briar Hill Baptist Church Missions Programs.
