Mrs. Jonnie "Sissy" Macoy

Jonnie Elizabeth “Sissy” Macoy, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at her home in Harrisville. Visitation will be Friday, October 13th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 14th from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service all at Unity Baptist Church in Georgetown. Burial will follow at Harrisville Cemetery. Sissy was a life-long resident of Harrisville where she was a member of Harrisville United Methodist Church. She was a loving care giver to her husband. Her caring nature extended beyond her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sissy loved and cared about her community and all the people and extended family that lived within it. Sissy is preceded in death by her husband, Rodger Dale Macoy, Sr.; son, Harvey Lavelle; brother, Dee Jennings; and her parents, Romie and Mary Dee Jennings. She is survived by her children, Rodger Dale Macoy, Jr. (Jackie) of Harrisville and Joan Lashell Walker (Ronnie) of Florence; brother, Romie Willard Jennings (Janis) of Richland; sisters, Gloria June Macoy (JB) of Harrisville and Polly Mullins (Bo) of Harrisville; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
