Mr. John Bryce Sykes

John Bryce Sykes, 23, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at University Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 3-6pm Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and 9-10am Monday, April 14 at Country Woods Baptist Church. Services will begin at 10am at the church, followed by interment at Lakewood South. John was born in Hazlehurst, where he was a happy child, diagnosed with Spinal muscular atrophy. He out lived all prognosis, and lived life to the fullest. Survivors include his grandparents Charlie & Sue Sykes of Jackson and Louis Gilbert of Crystal Springs; great grandmother Dorothy Fedrick of Jackson; father and step-mother Kevin & Tamara Sykes of Jackson; mother and step-father Keely & Volney Davenport of Crystal Springs; brother Devon Sykes of Jackson; step-brother Aaron Davenport of Crystal Springs; sister Kasey (Michael) Adair of Crystal Springs and Brittney (Michael) Beauvais of Brandon; step-sisters Kristen and Ashley both of NC; host of aunts, uncle, and cousins.
