Mr. John Edward Jones

John Edward Jones, 65, died Sunday, June 24 at his residence in Florence. No services are scheduled at this time. John was born December 11, 1952, in Jackson, MS to Ozell and Carrie Shows Jones. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a construction supervisor for Mid-State Construction. John loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was a hard worker that loved to fish and was an Ole Miss fan. John was preceded in death by his parents, Ozell and Carrie Jones. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Jones of Florence; sons, Bobby (Katie) Jones of Florence and Timothy McNeese of Braxton; daughters, Michelle (Robert) Smith of Florence and Patricia (Bo) Ainsworth of Braxton; brother, Robert Jones of Florence; sisters, Betty Jo (Lynn) Harrell of Florence, Mary (Richard) Rucker of Pelahatchie; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
