Mrs. Janice Garner Harvey

Janice Garner Harvey, 65, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Visitation will be 1:00pm until the 3:00pm funeral service on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Janice was born in South Carolina and grew up in south Jackson, MS. She was a teacher, both by profession and by calling. She taught numerous courses at Terry High School and other schools in Hinds County. A gifted communicator, her greatest joy was seeing her students grow and succeed. She loved her family and friends intensely, and they loved her in return. Survivors include her sons, Brett (Sonya) Harvey of Starkville and Steven (Jessie) Harvey of Ridgeland; brother, Rick (Elaine) Garner of Brandon; three grandchildren, Ben, Sam and Olivia Harvey.
