Mr. Hugh Verner Whitten Jr.

Mr. Hugh Verner Whitten, Jr., 78, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Merit Health River Oaks in Flowood. Visitation will be 9:30am until the 11am funeral service Wednesday, November 22 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Hazlehurst City Cemetery. An Army veteran, Mr. Whitten was a hard working, selfless man who loved his family. He loved hunting, fishing and being outside. He designed the original oval satellite pharmacy. Hugh is survived by his wife Charlotte Whitten of Jackson; sons, Hugh Whitten (Renee) of Florence, Keith McMullen (Nichole) of Louisiana and Danny McMullen of Texas; brother, Charlie Whitten (Audrey) of Vicksburg; sister, Frances Keys of Hazlehurst and 3 grandchildren.
