Mrs. Evelyn Beatrice Phillips

Evelyn Beatrice Phillip, 79, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Monday, August 25, 2014 from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. Mrs. Phillips was born on May 7, 1935 in Thomastown, MS to the late Irvin and Olivee Peavy, Mrs. Phillips was a longtime resident of Jackson. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening. She will be remembered by her family as a loving Mother and Grandmother. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, George “William” Phillips and by her son, Tommy Glenn Phillips. She is survived by her daughers, Glenda Phillips of Jackson and Penny (Bill) Rayborn of Jackson; sisters, Ruth Peavy, Jeanette Neely, and Gracie Pearl Reed; and grandchildren, Cheyenne, Codie, Jonathan, and Justin.
