Mrs. Evelyn McNeil Durst

Evelyn Marie McNeil Durst, 72, passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 at Merit Health Central in Jackson. A memorial service to celebrate her life, will be held at Carmelite Monastery at a later date. Mrs. Durst was a longtime resident of Jackson where she was a parishioner of St. Therese Catholic Church. She worked for Carmelite Monastery for over 30 years, retiring only two weeks ago. Mrs. Durst was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking. She is preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Olivia O’Grady McNeil, husband Tony Durst and son Michael Durst. Survivors include her son, Justin Durst of Jackson; daughters, Dianne Cochran (Steven) and Toni Durst all of Ft. Worth, TX; brothers, Travis, Martin and Bryan McNeil, all of Oklahoma.
