Mrs. Earline Briggs

Earline Briggs, 86, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 Pleasant Hills Nursing Home in Jackson. Visitation will be 10-10:45am Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Graveside services will follow at 11am Wednesday at Terry Cemetery. Mrs. Briggs was born in Magee, MS to the late Judsen Emanuel Williams and Sally E. Warren Williams. She had been a resident of Fort Worth, TX, but moved to Byram to be closer to her sister. She was a homemaker who loved working in her yard, tending to her flowers. Mrs. Briggs loved the Lord, graciously sharing Him with others. She was of the Baptist faith and a wonderful encourager. She is preceded in death by her husband J.T. Briggs; her two sons, Little Johnny and Don and several siblings. Survivors include her son Harry Powell (Margaret) of Madison; brothers Leon Williams and Henry Williams both of Madison; sisters Selma Foreman of Byram and Sarah Sandifer of Houston, TX; four grandchildren and several great grandchilden.
