Mrs. Denise Ellen Chandler Jeffress

Denise Ellen Jeffress, 64, a devoted Christ follower, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 5 PM until 8 PM and again on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 10 AM Until the 11 AM funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Mrs. Jeffress was a loving wife, mama, GaGa, sister and friend. She was a member of the Mississippi Methodist Cursillo Ministry where she shared her faith by helping others develop their relationship with Jesus Christ. She was one of the founding members of the Exchange Church and served in many ministries there. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, exercise class with her friends and was an avid animal rescuer. Mrs. Jeffress is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Barney Chandler and 2 brothers, Dennis and Dean Chandler. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Jerry Jeffress; son, Mack Jeffress and his wife Melissa of Madison; daughters, Jill Jeffress of Pearl, Jody Jeffress Rayborn and her husband Robbie of Mendenhall; brother, Dale Chandler and his wife Valerie of Denver, CO; sister Debra Chandler Stephens and her husband Tom of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Shelby, Bailey, Logan and Carter; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the Mississippi Animal Rescue League.
