Mrs. Debbie Reed

Anne Debbiedean “Debbie” Reed, 75, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be11am until the 12:00 noon funeral service, Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Reed was born in Brownsville, TN to the late James Harold Eavenson and Anne Lou Eavenson Mathison. She lived all her life in the Jackson area, graduating from Provine High School in 1960. She then attended Lambuth College in Jackson, TN and graduated from the University Southern Mississippi. She taught English for a number of years in Long Beach and St. Mary’s in Jackson. Mrs. Reed retired as a receptionist with Borden Dairy Compnay. She was strong willed, generous to others and loved working in her yard with her flowers. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Fletcher Reed of Jackson; daughter, Lynn Johnston of Clinton; step-son, Lavell Reed of Atlanta, GA; step-daughter, Nancy Martin of Florence; step-grandchildren, Zach and Abby Martin; sister, Hazel Mathison Rogers of Pearl.
