Mr. Cyril Reginald "Carl" Lovitt

Cyril Reginald “Carl” Lovitt, 66, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at VA Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 9:30am until the 10:00am funeral service Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. A private graveside service will follow at MS State Veterans Cemetery in Newton, MS. Mr. Lovitt was a lifelong resident of Jackson where he was a member of Southside Baptist Church and American Legion Post #112. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the U. S. Navy. He loved to sing and enjoyed sharing his art. He is preceded in death by his parents Clifton Frank Lovitt and Cecil L. Poole Lovitt Survivors include brothers Johnny & Frank Lovitt and many loving friends at the VA Community Center, as well as his church family at Southside Baptist.
