Mrs. Barbara Moore

Barbara Ann Denmark Moore, 82, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at her home in Clinton. Visitation will be 10am until the 11am funeral service Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Lakewood Funeral Home on Clinton Blvd. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Gabe Chapman, Justin Moore, Travis Graves, Mark Price, Bob Godfrey and Kahlil Dahduh. Honorary Pallbearers are MSU Bully XX “Champ” and MSU Bully XXI “Jak”. Barbara moved from Flushing, New York during her toddler years and subsequently graduated from Central High School in Jackson, Mississippi. She moved to Clinton in 1971. Raising her two children, Karen and Mitchell, occupied most of her time. She was a devoted mother. To this day, she is still best known for the hundred of homemade pizzas made for the Clinton High School football teams of the early 1970’s. She was an avid supporter of Mississippi State Football. A beloved grandmother, she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, W.C. “Bill” Moore and daughter Karen McCombs. Survivors include her son Mitchell (Phyliss) Moore of Forney, TX; grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Justin, Travis and Anna; aunt, Afton Steele of FL; a number of cousins , a host of friends and godson Gabe.
