Mrs. Avil C. Pruitt

Avil Craft Pruitt, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 5, 2018, at Willow Creek Nursing Home in Byram. Visitation will be 1-2pm Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral services to celebrate her life will begin at 2pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Raymond Cemetery. Mrs. Pruitt was born in Mize, MS to the late Jim and Virdie Waters Craft. She was a faithful member of Raymond Baptist Church and former member of Flora Baptist Church. Mrs. Pruitt was a wonderful homemaker who loved to sew, cook and spend time with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 64 years, Virgil E. Pruitt; son-in-law Malcolm Goode and all of her siblings, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her children, E.L. “Pete” Pruitt (Gail) of Florence, Billie R. Goode of Raymond, Bobby J. Pruitt (Elaine) of Hazlehurst, Dorothy A.
